New Toothbrush

I know it seems silly to blog about a toothbrush, but it is the best thing i've bought in a long time. On my trip to the dentist on Monday, I noticed that they were selling an electric toothbrush at a substantial discount. I've not been happy with how clean I can keep my teeth with a regular toothbrush so I bought it. The brush is wide enough that all I have to do is slowly slide it across my teeth. The brush has some little rubber bristles that slide into the cracks between the teeth and pull out plaque and food particles. When I'm done my teeth feel like I just stepped out of the dentist's chair. It even properly cleans behind my wisdom teeth. The brush cleans between my teeth so well that I can floss without looking to make sure that the floss removes stuff stuck between my teeth. With the new toothbrush, I can brush and floss in about 4 minutes instead of about 8 before. For anyone interested, the toothbrush is available here.

hmm, given that the toothbrush was manufactured by Oral B I shouldn't be surprised if it were very nice indeed, but I think I like my dentist provided free tooth brush enough not to spend 70-100$ on a tooth brush. I'd just as soon go and buy the electric razor consumer reports showed as best rated.

Free is good, but I think I paid $100 for a filling 6 months ago. In addition I have to visit the dentist every 4 months because my gums aren't in great shape, which costs another $125 per year. I would rather pay more once for a toothbrush and save money every year on dentist visits. Not having the dentist scowl as she scrapes off plaque around my gum line would also be nice.

I just look at which handles can use the same brushes and it looks like this $17 handle can use the floss action heads. I probably should have bought that one.

I forgot to mention that since the brush heads are removable, the handle can be shared by multiple people.

Babe, did you just respond to yourself? I only kid! You need to post more instead of reading Slashdot for hours!

If you would kindly show me how to turn on comment threading or edit comments, I would gladly do it instead of replying to myself. :-)

I'm not sure you can edit comments on Blogger. I know you can't thread it like on LiveJournal. =/
